Authentication - Developed authentication feature for soundful where users were able to sign up using their username and password. After successful sign in process the JWT token was sent to UI.
Components – Spring security, OAuth, AWS Lambda functions, API gateway, AWS CloudWatch
Track Rendering callback – Track rendering feature.
Components – Apache Kafka, push notification, Email notification.
Push notification – Soundful had a requirement where when user renders a track it takes couple of minutes after which users used to receive email. I developed this feature and introduced push notification so that users can receive notifications in real time.
Components – API gateway, Aws WebSocket, Lambda functions
Global Search Enhancements – The global search feature available in soundful was not giving proper results so I worked enhancing the global search results. Also included fuzzy search behavior. This feature helped soundful’s user searching their desired tracks based on their mood, genre, template and tags.
Components – Elastic search, Mongo DB
Deployments – Jenkins is used to build and deploy the service in testing env and on production AWS cloudformation was used to deploy it to production with Jenkins.
Hubspot Integration – There was requirement to send some important events to hubspot for marketing purpose. I worked on hubspot API integration.

Problems faced during live project – There was one complex issue in production which was causing Out of memory issue for a user. Since an account has 1 million tracks during sort by creator operation it was causing oom issue since whole data was being fetch in memory causing OOM issue.
Solution – Fixed the issue, instead of fetching whole objects, Only projected few needed columns in memory and also optimized the sorting logic.
