Project Name: DevConnect
A social media platform for developers to connect and share ideas. On the DevConnect app, users can register themselves and create a pretty extensive profile in many fields, including education and job experience. Users can enter their GitHub username and the app interacts with the GitHub API to pull in the latest 5 repos from the GitHub account. Users also create posts and comments and like/unlike on other users' posts.
Project Name: Vendor Purchase Management
The user wanted a digital paperless platform where they can keep track of vendor details and purchase items for ongoing and completed infra projects - while on the field. The ability to compare quotation costs was also a top requirement. After discussing the project requirements with the client, I created basic sketches of the app's UI and turned them into wireframes using Figma. I developed the front end in React. I used React state hooks along with function components to create React app. In order to have a centralized application state, I used Redux along with Thunk as middleware to handle asynchronous function calls to the backend. I used MongoDB for the database and generated the schema using Mongoose. Authentication was handled using JSON Web Tokens. I chose the Express framework on top of NodeJs for the backend. Finally, the project was deployed on Heroku.
Project Name: Kailash Coating ERP
An ERP app developed for Kailash Coating manages day-to-day business activities which include project management, bookkeeping, manufacturing and delivery logistics. The company used to keep track of its sales, accounts and customer information in physical books. They had software in place for the manufacturing department but it only generated job cards. As a result, keeping track of P/L statements, the monthly, quarterly or yearly growth was time-consuming. The company data was offline and not accessible by the owner outside the office premises.
