Tech Lead (AWS)

Required Skills and Experience:
 Experience managing AWS related services in a production setting
 Experience with IAC tools to manage AWS infrastructure; either Terraform (Perform) or Cloud-formation
 Experience with CI/CD including a tool such as Jenkins or something similar
 AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Higher
Extensive experience with the following in AWS:
 IAM and Access Control including Login Federation using Okta
 Design/Create Org Structure using AWS Landing Zone including Sub Accounts.
 Design and Provisioning VPC per Requirements including setting up Site to Site VPN Tunnels.
 Experience with Kubernetes and all its related areas such as but not limited to Provisioning, Node pools.
 Permissions, RBAC, scaling using IAC tools such as Terraform or something similar
 Experience with Managing Kubernetes in AWS or similar cloud environment such as GCP, Azure
Nice to Have:
 AWS Professional Level Certificate (Architect /Developer)
 Kubernetes Certified Application Developer
Responsibilities and Tasks
 Assist in the migration of Services, Applications from GCP to AWS, refer to the migration documentation for more details.
 Keeping all AWS services in compliance with Best Practices, For e.g.
 Security and other patches.
 Audit of infrastructure on a periodic basis from a security and operational standpoint.
 IAM and Access Control
 Provide access to TVS team members on request, TVS to create tickets to do the same.
 Monitor IAM permissions to ensure no one is excess permissions and access control is per AWS best practices.
 Auth Federation using Third parties such as okta.
 Making changes to AWS, for e.g. creating additional Tunnels or Modifying existing ones.
 Provisioning New services in AWS, for e.g. a new Project in TVS decides to use AWS RDS service.
 Making VPC and Firewall Changes in Existing infrastructure.
 Maintaining all code with IAC using Terraform or something similar.
 Onboard new TVS teams based on their requirements.
 Adjusting infrastructure configuration based on usage, for e.g. increase node pools for k8s cluster or adjust capacity based on low usage alerts.
 Configure/Tune Alerting as needed.
 Kubernetes Cluster Management tasks including but not limited to monitoring, optimizing and scaling.
 Existing cluster and to ensure the design adheres to AWS best Practices.
 Production Issues/Troubleshooting/Monitoring
 Participate in Business Critical /P1 issues, on call and implement the change that will resolve the issue.
 Actively monitor the infrastructure and call out any issues or abnormal behavior.
