Role: Java Backend Engineer

Designation: Consultant

Experience: 5 - 9 years

Education: UG/PG preferably in Computer Science/Information Technology or any other related fields

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Lead software design team and manage the program progress with quality delivery 
• Should have very strong hands-on experience as a  Java backend engineer in a cloud environment 
• Minimum 5 Years of hands-on experience in Java as a  Backend Engineer - Strong Experience in creating Restful Web services  and microservices
• Experience in cloud-based systems (AWS Preferred)
• Object-oriented design including design pattern
• Experience in defining technology roadmap, identifying pain areas of business, and proposing solutions
• Agile & Waterfall methodologies experience using JIRA, MS Projects, Smartsheet extensively
• Experience working with development methodologies, e.g., Agile and SCRUM
• Solid communications skills and capability to influence multi-functional teams and key decision-makers - Travel domain expertise is good to have
• Big-data exposure would be added advantage
• The candidate can fit for the Individual contributor role 
• Write clean, concise code that is stable, extensible, and unit-tested appropriately
• Diagnose complex issues, evaluate, recommend, and execute the best resolution
• Solution driven person who should Provide architectural and design input, with the ability to dive deep into technical details as required
• Work closely with key partners in executing the product vision for multiple workstreams. This includes internal/  external engineering teams 
• Ensure the teamʼs success through a translation of Business Requirements into tech implementation 
• Working with technical staff on Project Design/Development, with end-to-end oversight of on-time delivery with high quality 
• Working with various internal teams and tech leaders to build roadmaps for each of the phases and enable the delivery 
• Implement software solution as per business requirement 
• Helping define user stories, research appropriate technical solutions, and provide guidance to the team regarding architecture, design, and priorities 
• Translate feature requests into technical specifications and influence design and architectural decisions 
• Prioritize the intake and manage the backlog of requests

External Skills And Expertise

Technical Capabilities:

• Minimum 5 Years of hands-on experience in Java as a  Backend Engineer - Strong Experience in creating Restful Web services and microservices
• Experience in cloud-based systems (AWS Preferred)

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS 

• Mandatory skills:  Java, Spring Boot, Web API, SQL (RDBMS), AWS or Any Cloud, Microservices - spring framework.
• Secondary skills: CICD, Kafka/Any Streaming platform/Message queue.
• Good to have: Bigdata technologies like Spark,Hive ,Hadoop etc
• Optional- AWS associate developer certification, Kotlin, DevOps practices
