PROJECT SUMMARY
Project 1- Regression Automation Testing Project for various modules of BMW North America
In this project, BMW of North America had assigned six of their applications for developing their respective regression suite.The process is as follows:
Ø SOW is prepared by Automation Architect and sent to client for approval
Ø The scrum master gets the JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket ready for the project. Also provides credentials for individual applications for team-members.
Ø The Discovery Sprint starts in which team members identify the end-to-end scenarios for testing for
various applications and a Requirement Traceability Matrixis prepared and uploaded to Project Confluence which is then approved by the SME for that application. Once the scenarios are approved it is uploaded to Confluence for all the applications. All the scenarios are pushed to JIRA backlog with appropriate Story points. The Devops creates an Automation Branch within the respective branch for that application.The Automation Architect creates a common framework to be used for all applications.
Ø The 1st Development sprint starts in which the some of the scenarios from the backlog are moved to current sprint and these are automated. The Code is pushed onto the Automation Branch and run in Jenkins as a part of CI-CD Pipeline. Once successfully done, the demo is shown to client either as recording or in Extent Report fetched from CI-CD Run. The same process is followed for all subsequent sprints as a result of which the automated code for the application runs in CI-CD Pipeline whenever a build is triggered for the application. The final clean Extent report is shared with the SME.
Ø An operation Manual is prepared for each application containing information about the framework used,
Location of reports, methodology for triggering a build. The same is shared with Client and final approval is obtained.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ø Helping Automation architect create the SOW and framework creation
Ø Taking part as an Automation Engineer in the entire Development cycle as described above.
Project 2- System Testing in Numerous US Hospitals (RWJ, Atlantic, Montgomery, Life Care) by using Automation Test scripts
This is a continuous work in which we execute UFT or Selenium scripts for System testing in
Deployment or Test site of Hospitals in which latest Build. The process is as follows:
Ø Sharing the URL for testing by onsite team.
Ø Identification of scenarios to be tested by the offshore Automation Team.
Ø Sharing Timelines with the onsite team.
Ø If the scripts required are pre-existing scripts, execute scripts and report Status to onsite Team.
Ø If some new scripts are to be created, then creating those scripts and executing them along with the pre-existing scripts and report status to onsite Team.
Ø Documentation & Bug Reporting, Tracking.
Ø Retesting and if required Regression Testing.
