Release Manager (AWS Devops Senior Engineer)

About the Role:

We are looking to hire a talented release to manage the application releases and He will also provide technical governance and cross-team coordination to enable frequent releases.

Job Requirements:

·         7+ years of experience working as Release Manager or DevOps Engineer

·         4+ years of experience working with AWS/Azure services and processes

·         4+ years of experience with CI/CD processes (Github Pipelines)

·         Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle

·         Knowledge of release management best practices in Agile development

·         Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)

·         Experience with configuration management tools

·         Experience with system monitoring and monitoring tools

·         Working knowledge managing code quality and security policies

Job Responsibilities:

·         Software development experience

·         Manage application environments and coordinate with extended teams as required to ensure they are up-to date and in working order

·         Understand how changes happening across the broader integrated Suncor environment may impact our applications

·         Coordinate enterprise release content and efforts based on OS updates and third-party apps

·         Understand and coordinate use of shared environments with Operations and other teams

·         Understand and manage processes on Cloud (AWS/Azure) to promote code through the environments

·         Code management, merge, build management through standard tools ie GitHuB, jFrog

·         Technical governance and cross-team coordination to enable frequent releases

·         Understanding and management of Apple TestFlight & Google Beta, used for testing, Pilots

·         Manage code release process to App stores for both Android and iOS

·         Support Performance Testing to ensure NFRs are managed and met

·         Communicate crucial release plans and changes

·         Manage risks and resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules

·         Recommend and design system feedback mechanisms

·         Possess vision to shape up enterprise-wide Test and Release Management and Release Planning Strategy

·         Experienced implementing a build strategy

·         Manage security and compliance

·         Experience working source control tools such as Git

·         Experience in building release plans with understanding the impact of release across all environments and modules.

·         Training in project management practices is a bonus.
