Description:
ONT serial number is used, either the FTR or its MRCC counterpart, the primary serial number should be used to retrieve the ports and manufacturer. In other words, when a generic SN is used (either the base SN or the base SN plus the 3-digit suffix) the logic will hit IMS to see. There is a secondary SN. If there is a secondary SN, we know that it is a generic ONT and we grab the primary SN from IMS and use it to get the ports and other ONT data even if the SN that the user sent was the secondary SN. The GET ONT endpoint should work for all types of ONTs. The SN that is sent is a full Triad SN (Base SN plus 3-digit suffix) the base SN minus the suffix is used to get the ONT data and only the Base SN should be in the response.
The ONT has an Rfog, we find this out by hitting IMS and looking for a rfogSerialNumber, and we take the rfogSerialNumber and search Triad for it and include the Rfog data in the response. There are multiple ports we verify that the number of ports returned corresponds to the number of ports in Triad and we verify that the port types and port numbers match up as well and check if the port is available for provisioning. The SN does not exist in IMS but do
