Project 1: Webority
Technologies
Responsibilities:
My role was in a retail project where I supported various websites written in java.
• Working as team member within team of cloud engineers and my responsibilities includes.
• Setup & Managing windows Servers on Amazon using EC2, EBS, ELB, SSL, Security Groups, RDS and IAM.
• Managing VPC, Subnets; make connection between different zones; Blocking suspicious IP/subnet via ACL.
• Create & Managing buckets on S3 and store DB and logs backup, upload images for CDN server.
• Creating the redshift clusters and providing the access via IAM.
• Deploying the static web host on S3 using CloudFront.
• Managing the access control vi IAM and LDAP.
• Setup databases on Amazon RDS or EC2 instances as per requirement. Managing
AMI/Snapshots/Volumes, Upgrade/downgrade AWS resources (CPU, Memory, EBS). Creation of POCs and architecture for upcoming engagements.
• Installation and configuration of Jenkins, Maven, Git, GitLab EE integration. Docker image scanning and fixing the bugs reported on images.
• Gitlab Enterprise Static and Dynamic Application security testing
Project 2: Temenos
Client: Banking Product
Responsibilities:
My Role was to install the product as part of DevOps role.
• Setting up infrastructure for the Dev team using Code Commit, Code Deploy, and Code Pipeline services.
• Troubleshooting infrastructure issues with the above-mentioned services.
• Setting up SSH-access for the developers to enable access to Code Commit repos.
• For non-container applications, managing infrastructure related to EC2 instances, ELBs, Auto-Scaling groups etc.
• Working on various tasks as part of Cloud Support role related to S3, EBS, CloudFront, VPC, CloudWatch, IAM, Route53 etc.
• List of various tasks as a Cloud Support Engineer:
• To periodically mitigate all EC2 web-server related security vulnerabilities using Systems Manager.
• AWS Linux Support: To extend filesystems, troubleshoot issues related to permissions, user management, services etc.
Project 3: Cognizant
Client: Voya finance
Responsibilities:
• To periodically mitigate all EC2 web-server-related security vulnerabilities using Systems Manager.
• Designing application architectures.
• Deploying applications using Code Deploy, Code Commit, and Code Pipeline.
• AWS Housekeeping: To proactively making sure that all unused resources, for
example, manual volume snapshots older than 30 days, unused EC2 instances and EBS volumes, EC2 AMIs, etc., are deleted to reduce AWS costs further.
• Troubleshooting operational issues related to different services (Storage, Compute, Networking, and Database).
• Enforced a robust EC2 tagging strategy.
• Access control using restricted IAM policies.
• AWS Linux Support: To extend filesystems, troubleshoot issues related to permissions, user management, services, etc.
• Server related tasks like creating AMIs, snapshots from EBS, changing the instance type, creating a new instance from AMI, etc. as and when required.
• Monitoring related tasks: Creating alarms in CloudWatch.
