EDI Implementation:

EDI implementation – With help of Gentran Server and via Sterling VAN, Customer is able to successfully exchange their business documents with their communication server with any hassle and delay. We have used sterling VAN, Gentran Server connecting to Oracle. Implementations include number of different tasks to be run which includes- Systematic analysis of system (GAP), Develop map in Sterling Gentran: Director that integrate relationship between EDI format and AFF (Application file format), Creating new partner editor and dashboards, Testing the complete data flow for one EDI transaction. Resolving error and issues to run hassle free transaction between trading partners. Integrating EDI with the oracle using e-commerce gateway, Order management OM, Shipping and various other Oracle responsibilities needed to flow EDI transactions.

EDI Transactions and formats used in project:

• ANSI X12 Transactions

Logistics and Order processing cycle –

850(IN PO), 855(PO ACK), 856(ASN), 860(PO CHANGE), 810(INVOICE), Remittance advice, application advice, credit card payments and 997 etc. transactions.

Responsibilities:

§ Creating Application file format from oracle with running program in e-commerce gateway. Mapping Oracle AFF file data fields to the customer provided EDI X 12 document.

§ Analysis of customer specifications, requirements and EDI application integration.

§ EDI Data mapping and translation using web service utilities and tool-based architecture.

§ Creating, managing and updating maps in Gentran as per changes in version or customer specifications.

§ Adding partner profiles and their relationships in customer standard and EDI.

§ Manual Unit testing and functional testing in oracle EBS and Gentran server.

§ Working in Pl/SQL to validate data in interfacing tables and check backend data from various custom tables in oracle.

§ Dealing various tables in oracle database via PL/SQL.

§ Running order to cash cycle in oracle using e-commerce gateway, OM, INV, shipping etc. to process successful EDI transactional flow.

§ Application support.

§ Creating various documentation from regarding EDI mapping, Cycle flow etc.

§ Direct interaction with client’s customer to make communication much stronger.

2. Birlasoft (GE Appl Client) –

Duration (MAR 2014 to May 2020):

Skill sets needed - 

1.      Experience in mapping legacy data fields to Oracle EBS data fields for the purpose of EDI documents, using Oracle E-commerce Gateway, XML Gateway, or using a custom approach.

3.      Have good understanding of data model within EBS modules like OM, Shipping, PO, and INV.
