Full-time experience : Team Leader - Process Excellence & Quality Control (a subsidiary of Byju’s) Whitehat Jr/Byju’s (World’s largest EdTech company) 23 July 2020 onwards (currently working)


Responsibilities and achievements :

● 1st TL of the department and one of the earliest employees of the department - hence had 2 TLs reporting to me, while I was a TL myself on papers

● Got a lot of opportunities to learn, build & streamline things in the department from the scratch - right from the SOPs to audit form structure to the feedback giving process to the KPI setting up process and also remained as the SPOC for almost all activities until more TLs were hired, by training the new joiners/TLs and setting-up calibration activities

● I’m the Training SPOC for the entire department, even for LOBs that I don’t manage

● Established processes for tracking QA metrics; proactively identified risks/gaps, thereby immensely contributing to raising the customer experience in all possible way

● Have handled up to 5 LOBs’ audits within my team, by rising to the occasion whenever the situation demanded (saw the team size grow from 1 to 15)

● Worked with weak performers to improve their quality scores by coaching (scores improved from the 85s to 98s)

● Gave-away multiple tenured QAs to the new TLs, when they were hired, so that their learning curve was kept small, and also ensured that the newly hired ones delivered the productivity expectations at the earliest

First Level Manager/Team Leader/Supervisor - Sourcing (Life Sciences - Marketsource/ Non-catalog/3P/Third-party/3rd party) VWR, part of Avantor (a Fortune 500 organization) Jan 2019 - Nov 2019 (11 months) Responsibilities and achievements :

● Managed Junior to Senior level production associates & Quality analysts & handled escalation calls/emails

● Led negotiations with the US & global suppliers and their transportation partners including 3PS (3rd party Suppliers) & 3PL (3rd party logistics). Performed Vendor management including Vendor performance assessment.by being the Team’s Training SPOC

● Engineered the team to be more productive (from the 50s to the 70s)

● Raised sourced orders' percentage from the 75s to the 93s & reduced 3 FTEs (previously a 20 member team) by making use of Gemba, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Lean, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Kaizen & A3 methodologies.

● I was also able to create a forecasting model for this team's volume that had very less trends.

● Established processes for tracking metrics; Proactively identified risks/gaps

● Raised team's retention rate to 100% from 56%

● Handled both B2B & B2C wings

● Led multiple projects getting qualified for Six sigma certification reducing in cost-savings

● Inter-Departmental auditor - Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems' standards, 5S SPOC
