Project Profile                              : AADHAAR is considered the world's largest national identification number project. UIDAI has been formed with the mandate of providing a unique identity to all Indian residents, which involve biometric identification of 1.2 billion residents (largest in world). This needs a huge system to be developed which should be highly scalable, accurate and per formative. This large scale biometric identification system is called Automated Biometric Identification Subsystem (ABIS). Its objective is to collect the biometric and demographic data of residents, store them in a centralized database, and issue a 12-digit unique identity No i-e AADHAAR. Application like Admin portal, Upload portal, Pin code portal, Services of ECMP,UCL,CEL are supporting portal to this system.
