Experience: Have been collaborating with multiple software teams, using waterfall, evolutionary, and of late, agile methodologies. Global citizen - was in the USA for a decade, developing software products. Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), a Middle Eastern (ME) government organization hand-picked me as a “Senior Application Specialist” to transform their Loan Management System (LMS). Trained British colleagues in London on the Network Mediation (NM) and Call Collection (CC) product engineered in the USA, while working for MCI-WorldCom (this is Verizon now). In India, have played leadership roles building especially Research and Development (R&D) Centres of Excellence (COE) from scratch.

Job History (Reverse Chronological): Solera (Automotive ERP), Jwava (green-field product start-up, catering to the ME food industry), Collectors Alliance (transformed legacy Sales Order Processing for a numismatic company), SIDF (transformed the LMS), Alcatel-Lucent (now Nokia - managed five teams in Tele/Datacom, Sun Microsystems (now Oracle - managed Web Content Management team), Hewlett Packard (HP – led teams building Trusted Operating System (TOS) and a cloud product), MCI-WorldCom (designed and implemented Credit Card Processing, NM, and CC), Alabama Power (fixed critical bugs in a Decision Support System (DSS)), BellSouth (fixed critical bugs in Telecomm.), Tata Consultancy Services, and Crompton Greaves (implemented Network Applications in the last two organizations).

Domains: Automotive, Food, ERP, Healthcare, Airline, Finance, Tele/Datacom, Operating Systems, and Networking – during the last decade, have been building software products and mentoring other engineers at various levels. Prior to that, managed teams for a decade in Network and Element Management (NMS and EMS) in Tele/Datacom. During the initial decade designed NM & CC, DSS, Trusted & regular OS, and Network Applications. In short - conceived innovative ideas, architected, designed, and implemented using Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and procedural techniques, in a plethora of languages – primarily Java, C++, C and C#. Built scalable, flexible, and robust Software as A Service (SAAS) products using AWS in Spring and .NET eco Systems.

Responsibilities: Owned Current Product Engineering (CPE) teams in HP, Oracle, and Nokia which fixed production bugs/defects and enhanced features. Developed products from the ground up. Managed complete programs, projects, budget, and most importantly people. Currently mentoring a business unit, helping them architect lender aggregators, apply design patterns where needed, modelling Entity Relationships (ER) and Extended Entity Relationships (EER) using RDBMS (PostgreSQL). Automating unit, and integration testing using CI-CD pipelines for GitLab.
