Summary
• Engineered software using waterfall, evolutionary, and agile methodologies. Worked in the U.S. (for a decade), Australia (received scholarship from the Melbourne University to pursue Doctorate in Cloud Computing), Middle East, Europe, and India. Worked at: Collectors Alliance, Saudi Industrial Development Fund, Lucent (Lucent became Alcatel, and is Nokia now), Sun Microsystems (Oracle now), Hewlett Packard (HP), WorldCom, MCI (Verizon now), Alabama Power, BellSouth, Tata Consultancy Services, Crompton Greaves, and a couple of start-ups.
• Domains: Transportation Management System (TMS), Inventory Management System (IMS), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), HealthCare, Airline, Financial & Loan Management, Network & Element Management (NMS & EMS), Tele & Data-communications (FCAPS), Mediation & Call Collection, Decision Support, and Operating & Trusted Operating Systems (OS).
• Led Current Product Engineering (CPE) in HP, Oracle and Nokia. Transitioned products from U.S. to India for bug fixing and feature enhancements. Developed products from the ground-up and built R&D centres of excellence. Handled programs, projects, budget, and engineers (more than fifty in number). Innovated and filed a patent at HP.
• Designed software using Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) techniques in mainstream programming languages – Java, C++, and C#. Conceived, architected, designed, and coded scalable, flexible, and robust systems – in .NET and Spring frameworks (designed REST APIs and used Micro Services Architecture). Used design patterns when needed and wrote Extended Entity Relationship (EER) diagrams while designing relational database (RDBMs) models. Wrote unit test cases. Planned integration, system, user acceptance, and end-user training.
