Description

Role – ROR

Total Experience – 5 to 8 Years

Education Qualification: BE/B.Tech/MCA/BCA/M.Sc/M.Tech

This is focused on full-stack development. In this role, you will bring your full-stack app development skills, along with your software development expertise, to help build out our applications and help accelerate our time to market. This role is geared toward the backend (server, database, API integrations) and the responsive web frontend development. However, if you have additional expertise with mobile application development (such as with React Native, Flutter, etc.), there are opportunities to expand your role in those areas as well.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test features for our web applications -- that are developed using responsive web UI frameworks, React.js and Ruby on Rails, and MySQL

• Proven design skills with the ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Work within a geographically distributed scrum team to plan, scope, build and deliver software.

• Participate in full lifecycle engineering methodology to ensure timely, high-quality releases

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major

• React.js, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Javascript

• 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails stack is strongly preferred. If however, you have a similar experience with Node.js, PHP or other stacks, you will be expected to quickly ramp up on the Ruby on Rails development stack

• 3 to 5+ years of experience designing and building web applications using React or a similar stack is required. Additional experience with other platforms such as Angular is nice to have

• Must have 3 to 5+ years of experience with Javascript, CSS3, UI responsive frameworks such as Bootstrap, MaterialUI, AntDesign, or similar frameworks

• Experience with the new hooks-based React (> v16.8) and strong debugging skills are required

• Must be comfortable with full-stack web development environments that use modern web

technologies such yarn, webpacker, etc.

• Database: Strong database modeling skills are required. Must be comfortable writing complex SQL queries and understand their performance implications. Experience working with MySQL, or Postgres and the associated ORMs is required. Any experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB are nice to have

• Experience with REST/JSON and especially with GraphQL is a must-have

• Experience working with third-party APIs with OAuth2 authentication is highly desirable

• Experience working with modern development tools such as Bitbucket (Git), and agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, or similar tools are required
