Data Base Administrator

Job Responsibilities:

• Performance Tuning
• Query analysis and optimization
• Backup (Hot and Cold)
• Recovery and Replication
• Overall system health
• Developing Triggers/Stored Procedures
• Query optimization
• Developing SQL reports and business logic of UNIFY
• Staging, testing and development of database
• Documentation of schema
• Schema Management, updates and rollbacks

Role Requirements:

• Minimum 4 year of experience in administration and management of Postgres/ MySQL/database server
• Knowledge of SLONY (replication)/PG9 Streaming Replication/Other replication tools
• Complete knowledge of ANSI SQL dialect is a must.
• Database maintenance (hot and full backups, vacuuming, indexing)
• Database optimizations (OS specific (Linux and Solaris) optimizations, query analysis and tuning)
• Should be able to write basic scripts to load data into DB, and export to various formats
• Knowledge of redhat/centOS/other linux OS
• Basic Shell Scripting for automating tasks
• Migrations, database monitoring
• Specifically from Telecom/BFSI industry
• Should know Linux administration as well.
• Worked with Development as well as Admin team.
• B.E/BTECH/MCA to be preferred.
