Mid Level Java Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION

You are responsible for developing high performance and high availability applications to meet the company’s strategic objectives. You strive to continually improve the quality, performance, and reliability of any code that you develop. We are looking for the type of person that loves to have their hands in everything and someone who can take on the challenge of working within a small growing team with a great deal of responsibility. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze technical requirements and implement. (Coding, Unit testing).
• Asking relevant questions to stakeholders and taking clarification for gray areas.
• Active in standup meetings and discuss the challenges and work with lead and Sr developer to resolve those.
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to develop, test, and maintain.
• Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
• Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications

REQUIRED SKILLS

At least 4 years’ experience in software development.

Extensive experience with: -

• JavaEE (JEE, J2EE)
• JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap
• Relational Databases

Nice to have

• Tomcat
• Apache
• Backbone
• Knowledge of accessibility standards

1. Nice to have other java technologies experience for example Tomcat, Apache
2. Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise grade software
3. Extensive experience in relational database (SQL or PostgreSQL)
4. Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development.
5. Knowledge of various design patterns including dependency injection, factory method, and concurrency patterns.
6. Experience with multi-threading, debugging, performance profiling and optimization.
7. Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.
8. Knowledge of implementing unit tests.
9. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git.
10. Experience with agile development methodologies like Scrum.
11. Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems

preferred.
