Release Engineer

 ACCOUNTABILITIES:  

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Work with developers to understand impacts of branches and code merges.

Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.

Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates.

Manage Deployment, release notes and implementation Plans.

Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required.

Creating environments for TQA and update the same at required frequencies. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:  

Engineering Graduate/ Postgraduate from reputed college with excellent academic record 

2-5 years of relevant experience into Build and Release of Microsoft .Net environment

Knowledge of tools like Visual studio, MS Build, Batch files, Power Shell, Team foundation server and creating scripts for the same.

Experience in deployment of web applications on IIS, IIS management, Metabase, web.config management etc.

Experience in deployment and configuration of windows service.

Experience of Windows Server forms.

Experience in deployment of SQL Server and SQL server management with basic Sql server

Experience supporting configuration management and release engineering in a large, multi -site software development project.

Experience with windows server System Administration, networking, and production environment management

Software Development background in earlier part of the career either as a Developer or QA with SQL Knowledge is mandatory.

Should be proficient with Manual build as well.
