Job Description

  1. Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high-level languages, such as .Net core , Sql / MySql
  2. Experience with distributed storage technologies like NFS, HDFS, Ceph, S3 as well as dynamic resource management frameworks (Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn)
  3. Computer Science / Engineering degree preferable
  4. A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
  5. Great interpersonal and mentoring skills
  6. Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions.
  7. Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  8. Follows good principles of software engineering like TDD, writing modular, maintainable, clean code, and can work stress free in an Agile environment.
  9. Has strong engineering skill set with a firm grasp of fundamental Computer Science principles and a test-driven approach to software development 
  10. Ability to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-moving industry and startup culture - Nice to have: experience building microservice architecture systems, test automation, derivatives pricing, scaling, operating system and network-layer performance tuning, BDD, KDB+. 
  11. Hands on knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Travis, or CircleCI - Knowledge of networking technologies and fundamentals 
  12. Participate in system design consulting, platform management and capacity planning.
  13. Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment and by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  14. Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.
  15. Experience in mapping the dependencies integrated with the modules for Azure Cloud & converting the modules from Azure Function/Web App to GCP Cloud Function and AppEngine/Cloud Run. 
  16. To be a part of a solution design discussion and suggest the technical solution wherever possible.
  17. Support the requirements on creating DevOps pipelines to a DevOps engineer for modules converted from Azure to GCP.
