• Ability to solve business problems using methods including process mining, sentiment analysis, cluster analysis and big data

• Firm grasp of both probability, statistics and other mathematical principles and ability to build statistical models

• Strong experience in software engineering with a flair for visualisation

• Confident programmer, with specific exposure to Python, Spark, SQL, R, geopandas,PyTorch

• Ability to effectively justify advanced analytics modelling decisions to the Lead Data Scientist and ability to work towards deliverables

• Working from concept genesis to active researchand development and finally execution, including use case identification, data preparation and solution deployment

• Intellectual curiosity, communication and presentation skills

• Ability to support junior members of the team and support effective peerreview

• Ability to work independentlyand engage with cross-functional teams

• Effective and adaptable engagement with stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge

• A minimum of 3+ years within an advanced analytics discipline

• Exposure within an advanced analytics discipline and associated methodologies

• Experience in prioritisation of tasks based on deliverables and context switching

• Experience developing and encouraging data engineering and stack best practices and up-to-date methods
