Network Tools and Automation Engineer(LogicMonitor)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as an expert on the LogicMonitor (including Dexda) platform within Syngenta.
• Design, implement, and manage LogicMonitor to ensure comprehensive monitoring of our IT infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain various network management tools to optimize performance and reliability.
• Work with various network protocols such as SNMP and SSH for device communication and data collection.
• Develop and maintain documentation regarding network monitoring architecture, configurations, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate LogicMonitor with other tools and automate workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Stay current with new LogicMonitor features and best practices, implementing them to improve our monitoring capabilities.
• Provide training and support to other IT staff on using network monitoring tools effectively.

Skills, experience and knowledge:

• Proven expertise in the LogicMonitor platform, with certification being a plus.
• Preferred candidate will have experience with some or all of the following: Netscout Pulse, SiffIO, Splunk
• Strong understanding of network management tools and protocols, including SNMP and SSH.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in network administration or a related field.
• Experience with network infrastructure, including routers, switches and firewalls.
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
