Job Description (Job Summary/Roles & Responsibilities):

- Design and develop LookML models, explore, Dashboards, and workflows in the Looker platform
● Implement persistent derived tables, caching policies, version control, and assess code quality
● Build, maintain, and administer Looker as a primary BI tool
● Investigate, improve, and optimize query performance
● Build and lead impactful and KPI-centric relationships with cross-functional team members
● Help create and maintain coding standards and perform code reviews
● Assist with platform administration
● Communicate complex information clearly and concisely
● Developing accurate calculations i.e., “Looker measures” in LookML and validate that ad-hoc calculations are performant on large datasets.
● Performs Unit tests via SQL Runner for data validation of result set/expected results
● Uses LookML capabilities to increase user experience
● Experience working on projects from feature definition to project deployment through the development lifecycle
● Experience informing and assisting peers and other business stakeholders on various business initiatives
● Knowledge of Git and it’s interaction with the Looker platform

Mandatory Skills:
- At least 5+ years of experience developing within Looker
• Excellent SQL skills and advanced proficiency in LookML
• High energy and action-oriented with a history of getting things done
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in Looker development and design
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent technical knowledge and experience
• Experience working on projects from feature definition to project deployment

• Experience informing and assisting peers and other business stakeholders
• Knowledge of Git and its interaction with the Looker platform
• Understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies
Desired Skills: - Knowledge of SQL BI is a nice to have.
