Business Analyst/ Scrum Master

Job Title: Business Analyst (Scrum) - Banking Domain

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with 4 to 6 years of expertise in the banking domain, coupled with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum. As a Business Analyst with a Scrum focus, you will be a key liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, responsible for gathering and refining requirements, managing the product backlog, and ensuring the timely delivery of value-driven solutions. Your domain knowledge and Scrum expertise will play a crucial role in the successful execution of projects that meet both business and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and product owners to elicit and document clear, concise, and actionable requirements for banking projects.
• Employ Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, to lead and participate in various Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it aligns with the business goals, technical capabilities, and customer needs.
• Refine user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure a common understanding of the requirements across the development team.
• Work closely with development teams to address any questions or clarifications related to the user stories during the sprint execution.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure user-centric design and seamless user experiences in the banking applications.
• Conduct thorough business process analysis and identify opportunities for process optimization and improvement within the banking domain.
• Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring a shared understanding of project objectives and deliverables.
• Collaborate with QA analysts to define test scenarios, validate that the implemented features meet the acceptance criteria, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks, suggesting appropriate contingency plans to ensure project success.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in the banking domain and Agile methodologies, sharing knowledge with the team to drive continuous improvement.

 Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven 4 to 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the banking domain, working in Agile environments with a focus on Scrum.
• Strong knowledge of banking products, processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) and a demonstrated ability to manage and maintain the product backlog effectively.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and experience collaborating with UX/UI designers.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude and a passion for driving results.
