Senior Automation Engineer (ITRS, Scripting)

• Based in India, Remote, Immediate, Contract 6-12 (extendable) months, Singapore/ Malaysia Working hours
• Please state the candidate skill (below mentioned) levels from 1 to 10.  Options:  1) the candidates are on your payroll preferred, 2) freelancers are also ok 3) I can also take them on my payroll, if the CTC is realistic and pay you your margin month on month (with 30-45 days payment period). Good control over the candidates is mandatory.

Skills / Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in instrumenting Monitoring Tools for Infrastructure and Application Monitoring in a banking or financial services environment.
• OS Administration Knowledge: Have a solid understanding of Windows and RHEL server OS administration to effectively manage and automate server-related tasks.
• Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Ansible and Shell Scripting is essential for creating automation scripts and workflows.
• Experience in SQL database connectivity and related querying for automation / scripting tasks is essential.
• Banking Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with banking infrastructure technologies and concepts, such as data centers, server virtualization, storage systems, network security, and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues related to Puppet and Ansible configurations, deployment automation, and integration with other systems and tools.
• Team Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross- functional teams, including infrastructure, application development, and operations teams.

Qualifications:

• Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications: Possess an IT-related tertiary qualification or demonstrate equivalent experience in the field.
• Certifications / Accreditations: Hold an Associate or Professional level certification in Infrastructure and Application Monitoring Tools such as ITRS Geneos coupled with Scripting skills.
• Relevant experience in configuring and instrumenting Infrastructure and Application Monitoring using industry standard tools (e.g., ITRS, App Dynamics, Dynatrace, etc.)
• Strong experience in scripting and automation using Python, Ansible & Shell Scripting. Good knowledge of SQL scripting and queries related to automation tasks.

Work experience for the deployment of ITRS Geneos platform is an added advantage
