Role: Senior Product Engineer (Elastic Search)

Function: DevOps Engineering

Based in India, Remote, Immediate, Contract 6-12 (extendable) months, Singapore/ Malaysia Working hours

Please state the candidate skill (below mentioned) levels from 1 to 10.  Options:  1) the candidates are on your payroll preferred, 2) freelancers are also ok 3) I can also take them on my payroll, if the CTC is realistic and pay you your margin month on month (with 30-45 days payment period). Good control over the candidates is mandatory.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.

Core Responsibilities

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, data requirements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that will be incorporated into reports and dashboards.
• Report Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain a variety of reports, including operational, financial, and performance reports, using reporting tools and technologies such as Elastic Search, Logstash (ELK Stack), or other similar tools.
• Dashboard Development: Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards that provide a comprehensive view of key metrics and performance indicators, enabling stakeholders to monitor progress and make informed decisions.
• Data Integration: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the reporting solutions.
• Data Visualization: Utilize best practices in data visualization to present complex data in a clear and concise manner, ensuring easy interpretation and understanding by end-users.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and validation of reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and adherence to business requirements.
• Documentation: Create detailed documentation of report and dashboard specifications, data sources, data definitions, and assumptions to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain consistency.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on how to utilize the reports and dashboards effectively, including troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in reporting and dashboard technologies, and proactively recommend improvements to enhance the reporting capabilities and user experience.

Skills/Experience

• Min 5 years proven experience as a product engineer with Reporting and Dashboards in a DevOps environment.
• Mandatory skills in Elastic Search, Logstash (ELK Stack components)
• Good to have: Fluentd/Fluentbit, Grafana
• Solid understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Proficiency in data visualization best practices and the ability to present complex data in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand format.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable reports and dashboards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality reports within specified deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders from different departments and levels within the organization.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
