Monitoring Engineer

Summary:

The Monitoring Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's monitoring infrastructure. This includes the use of PRTG/AWS Quicksight/Splunk on Call to monitor the health and performance of the organization's IT systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain the organization's monitoring infrastructure.
• Use PRTG/AWS Quicksight/Splunk on Call to monitor the health and performance of the organization's IT systems.
• Configure alerts and notifications to be sent when problems are detected.
• Investigate and resolve monitoring alerts.
• Maintain monitoring documentation.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest monitoring technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Monitoring.
• Strong experience with PRTG/AWS Quicksight/Splunk on Call.
• Experience with other monitoring technologies.
• Experience with incident response.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Provide training on the monitoring infrastructure to IT staff.
• Work with other IT teams to ensure that the monitoring infrastructure is integrated with other systems.
