DBA/ SQL Developer

Demonstrated expertise in understanding and applying fundamental concepts and principles of database design, normalization, and optimization. 

Proficiency in working with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases, including database installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks. PL/SQL and T-SQL is required.

Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies, including regular backups, restoration procedures, and implementing disaster recovery protocols. 

Knowledge of PostgreSQL is an additional advantage.

Self-motivated and capable of handling tasks independently.  

Proficient in installing, configuring, and upgrading database server software.

Set up and optimize database server configurations, including tuning parameters, storage allocation, and network connectivity. 

Implement monitoring tools and practices to ensure the availability, performance, and security of the database systems.  

Identify and resolve performance issues, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in database queries, schemas, and overall system architecture. 

Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and availability in case of system failures or disasters.  

Manage user access and security permissions, ensuring proper authentication and authorization mechanisms are in place. 

Plan and implement procedures for disaster recovery, including backup restoration, system failover, and data replication.  

Assist users with database-related issues, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, and provide timely support and guidance. 

Plan and execute routine maintenance tasks, such as software upgrades, patching, index rebuilds, and performance tuning.  

Assess existing data analysis models, algorithms, and procedures, and recommend improvements to enhance data processing and reporting capabilities.
