Primary Objective of Position
We are looking for someone who understands data and build a story using visual analytics. The person
should have excellent communication skills both Oral and written, work cross functionally with multiple
stakeholders and have experience with developing compelling narratives with data.
Major Areas of Accountability
 Collaborates with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Analysts and/or directly with key users
to ensure business requirements and build wireframes.
 Build Dashboards in Power BI that tell a story, the dashboards should be performant, easy to use,
should have drill down capabilities and intuitive. Wireframes captured during discovery phase
should be basis for Dashboards.
 Supports the day-to-day operation of the reporting and analytic solutions by troubleshooting ETL
and other errors encountered during data processing.
 Answers users’ questions and creates reports that are accurate, easy to read, and include useful
information that satisfies the users’ needs.
 Completes change requests for new reports and enhancements in a timely manner with high quality.
 Works collaboratively with others across departments in order to perform and complete necessary
tasks & projects.
 Follows established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), change control, release
management and incident management processes while developing and deploying standard reports.
 Provides technical guidance and training to business ad-hoc report developers on appropriate usage
of available BI tools.
 Research BI best practices and analytic methods and determines where best to implement.
 Builds and maintains relationships cross-functionally in order to stay current with the needs and
operations of the business functional areas supported.
 Keeps manager informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information
necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others,
as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
 Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
Qualifications
 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business or related field.
 At least 5 to 7 years in Data Visualization Development
 Expert in Software Development
 Must have extensive experience in writing complex SQL queries to pull the data into visualization
tool and for querying data for analysis purpose
 Must have hands on experience in pulling data from various data sources and build complex data
models (Star Schema/ Snowflake) in visualization tool, particularly Power BI.
 Find patterns in data that tell excellent data stories.
 Skilled at extracting insights by applying visualization
 Experience in defining UX standards and guidelines
 Excellent communication skills, particularly presentation skills are required.
 Experience with system and customer support preferred.
 Must be willing to work as a team and possess the skills to work independently.
 Proven ability to meet timelines and prioritize workload
 Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical design skills.
