Job Description-
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain network and multiplayer systems for games using Unreal Engine 5
Collaborate with designers, artists and other developers to design, implement and optimize multiplayer game mechanics and features
Design and implement network synchronization and latency compensation systems to ensure seamless and consistent gameplay experience across players
Implement game server architecture and systems to support large-scale multiplayer gameplay
Identify and solve network-related issues, including packet loss, bandwidth optimization, network latency and lag compensation
Design and implement secure and scalable matchmaking systems
Optimize game network performance and efficiency to ensure smooth gameplay experience across different network conditions and devices
Research and stay up-to-date with the latest network and multiplayer technologies, tools and best practices
Document and communicate technical designs, implementation details, and test plans
Requirements:
Strong understanding of game network protocols and multiplayer game design
Experience with designing and implementing network synchronization and latency compensation systems
Experience with designing and implementing game server architecture and systems
Experience with designing and implementing matchmaking systems
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
