Technical Delivery Head (4:30AM to 1:30PM IST)

Job Description

You will be responsible for managing the entire technical team and will drive the end-to-end technical enablement of our digital web and mobile platforms. You will work continually to enhance and optimize our platform features by defining technology system designs and system architectures that would scale and encourage best practices. You should excel in working with large-scale production applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills. As the Technical Project Manager, you will also be responsible for our platform deployments, infrastructure setup (where required), management, maintenance, and application security implementations.

Responsibilities

Technical

·       Determine organization needs and identify technology system specifications

·       Analyse the needs of technology systems and break them down into smaller manageable parts

·       Plan and design the structure of technology systems and define architectures

·       Communicate system requirements to the software engineering team; explain system structure to them and aid throughout the assembly process. 

·       Choose suitable software, and hardware and suggest integration methods. 

·       Oversee development and implementation of assigned programs and guide the software engineering team

·       Help resolve technical problems as and when they arise

·       Carry out testing procedures to ensure all systems run smoothly

·       Ensure that systems satisfy quality standards and procedures

·       Manage the cloud infrastructure and supporting services

·       Drive platform deployments and ensure business continuity

·       Act as technical liaison with stakeholders where required

Non-Technical

·       Build, develop, and manage the software engineering team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation

·       Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation

·       Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that the project team adheres to project requirements and business priorities

·       Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risks

·       Develop and maintain partnerships/relationships with outside resources – including third-party vendors and researchers

·       Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs

·       Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans

Skills and Qualifications

·       5+ years of project and people management experience

·       Extensive and proven software engineering experience focused on JavaScript full-stack web development

·       Extensive and proven hands-on experience with cutting-edge web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, MEAN Stack)

·       In-depth understanding and expertise of large-scale production application performance and scalability

·       Extensive and proven experience in Azure Cloud, Docker, Azure AD, and Azure DevOps

·       Proven success working with all levels of management

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Strong presentation skills

·       Previous success in producing deliverable large-scale production software platforms

·       Strong attention to detail, deadlines, and budgetary guidelines

·       Experience in coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets

·       Experience in resolving conflicts within the team

- Should have handson experience in docker (eg. writing Dockerfiles), and docker-compose

- Should have understanding of Stripe eg. stripe connect, payments, charges, paymentIntent, paymentMethods, application fee management

- Should have understanding of third party integrations like eg. SendGrid, Twilio, Google Maps

- Should have good understanding of MongoDB

- Should have understanding of javascript

- Should have an understanding of node.js servers and common npm packages
