Tech Lead

Tech Lead -  ( Exp. 5-8 years )

Role 1 : Hands on technical/infrastructure Dev Lead : GCP, Governance, Infrastructure, CI/CD and MSA, Digital.

You will be responsible for:

Leading digital platform architecture and key design decisions on the Google Cloud Platform.

Ensuring all non-functional requirements for the platform meet business needs and

requirements.

Setting and reviewing coding principles ensuring all relevant architecture governance, policy

and standards are met.

Setting up and working with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and

continuous testing.

Developing and promoting the re-use of patterns – Audit the code.

Providing third-level support for the platform.

Providing platform specific consultancy regarding technical architecture and design patterns

for hosted solutions.

Representing the GCP platform in architectural discussions with internal IT partners and

external vendors.

Maintaining and managing customer-facing information and knowledge bases for

architecture and design decisions.

Providing management reporting, to ensure data driven discussions for continuous

improvement.

Gathering requirements and providing continuous feedback loops between customer and

Engineering teams.

Key skills and experience:

A background as a Digital Developer (Full Stack, Java, Angular, eCommerce Engine) and planning to move into Architect roles, leader of a software development team.

Have a system engineering background, with the ability to compare solutions to meet

business requirements, providing thought leadership in evaluation and influencing key

stakeholders towards adoption.

Cloud service provider experience, including infrastructure build and configurations of

services including Compute, Containers, Container OS and Container orchestration (for

example Docker) Storage.

An understanding of role-based access controls and organizational hierarchies.

Operational effectiveness and delivering solutions aligned to approved design patterns and

security, risk and regulatory standards, and a comprehensive understanding of IT and

business risk management.

Working with multiple support groups that contribute to creating a service

Good leadership skills, a customer and stakeholder focus, and the ability to build strong

relationships with global and local teams.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex

information in an understandable and meaningful way, and IaaS/PaaS concepts to people

new to Cloud Development.
