Data Scientist - Intern / Junior Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities 

• Help in cleansing and normalizing data
• Assist business team in developing datasets as per required templates
• Using machine learning and other data mining techniques to get insights from massive datasets, such as identifying fraud rings
• Utilizing your experience Python to write new algorithms to process data to produce new insights
• Adapt the latest technologies in modeling and data mining to design scientific tests to maximize dollars spent on new initiatives and marketing channels
• Work together with a team of dedicated experts including researchers, developers, dev-ops engineers, and architects with a single goal of building best machine learning pipelines for a variety of use cases spanning ESG, financial markets, and social sciences
• Work with internal stakeholders to explore and understand business data
• Formulate and test hypotheses to evaluate business strategies and measure impact
• Learn and apply complex analytical techniques
• Author reports and presentations to communicate your process and results

Demonstrated Experience & Required Qualification: 

• Bachelor’s degree required in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Physics
• Intern or work experience with predictive analytics, pattern recognition, or data mining/data analysis preferred
• Self-motivated, work well both independently and as part of an agile team
