It identifies people in data sources managed by Data Fabric 2.0 and Data Lake, enabling the matching of a single individual from different sources that could have slightly different data attached to them. For example, one data source could identify a member as Ann Marie Jones and another data source may have her as Annie Marie Jones. Older data management tools could not identify her as a single person. iMDM matches Ann with Annie based on other identifiers and creates a “Golden Record” for her, aggregating information about her demographics and other key identifiers and “cleaning” it into a single record for use among many different business lines
