It was required for Cadence to communicate with their trading partner. Trading partner used to send/ receive data in EDI format so we made use of Dell Boomi to integrate the two systems. Data received in EDI format from tradgin partner was converted and mapped to salesforce records inside Dell boomi and response from salesforce was converted to EDI format to send to trading partner.

We designed a dashboard in salesforce where user could see all the Purchase Orders coming from trading partner in readable form and can conduct various operations on that data. We automated the process of sending Acknowledgments to trading partner and once the Purchase Order was processed the system automatically generates and sends the Invoice in EDI format to the trading partner.

We called ServiceRocket webservices from within salesforce using REST API in order to link it with Jira. With this integration any case created in Salesforce used to automatically pass on to Jira and updates from Jira used to come back to salesforce.
