The use of SAP systems by many users - thousands in some cases, leads to the creation of enormousvolumes, sometimes terabytes, of data. The electronic display of standard business processes and theautomatic generation and transfer of data from previous systems also leads to increased volumes of data. Large volumes of data place increased demands on the database and application servers. Consequently, irrespective of the application, transactions and - especially reports - have to make selections from largevolumes of data in the application tables. Applications such as the R/3 System are designed in such a way that data can be stored on the databaseand, if necessary, accessed again. When archived, this data is no longer available online, but is accessedvia the database. Read-only access is still possible, though in some cases, to a lesser extent than onlinedata.
Archive Data
Only SAP Data Archiving guarantees that the size of the database is kept under control in the long termand that read-access is also maintained.
Based on business required we archive data from different zone.
